Aussie muse in focus

Australia model Renee (Princess Lizard on MM) strikes a Bond-like pose with Tri-X Photographer during a shoot at Steve L's studio in Victoria, BC. It was day 3 of Renee's first trip to Canada for a nine-day photo safari.

deviantID

A veteran award-winning photojournalist who likes to tell his stories through the lens, when I'm not at the keyboard composing with my fingers writing, I also enjoy being creative and working with veteran and aspiring models in wilderness settings, not the studio where I can easily control the elements. I react to a shoot, not pose. If you want to collaborate with me, drop me a line. The eldest of five air force brats, with my father from Guyana, South America and mother from Cumberland, BC, I have four younger sisters. I'm the only one with the photographic skills, always in focus on life from 360 degrees. My most recent artwork was created with Australian model Renee, who was on Vancouver Island for an 11-day photo safari. I also just spent an afternoon on Pender Island collaborating with U.S. model Kaija (Montana), with her first shoot after a year hiatus. Weather held, and she braved the cool breeze off the ocean in her birthday suit while climbing on driftwood. She also talked her boyfriend Kyle into modelling with her. Meanwhile, plenty of editing still to do, but also catching up on shoots with Angeline, Renee, Hilary, Amy, Jen, Ashley, Kate and Eden.

FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES, WHAT MODELS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT WORKING WITH TRI-X PHOTOGRAPHY (all of these muses are on Model Mayhem and other model sites)

• Jules is a brilliant photographer who is willing to go the extra mile to make his muse shine and create that golden shot. If there's art to be made, what are you waiting for??? — Australian RENEE ELOISE

• Most of my photos are taken by this wonderful man. Talented, friendly and outgoing. He was quick to help me learn and very gracious with everything. I would definitely recommend working with him if you get the chance! — KATRINNA

• A super photographer to work with who knows his stuff and is easy to get along with which made our shoots fun, professional and a huge success. — CHRYAH

• Jules is very sweet, fun easy going guy. Great photographer for outdoor nudes! — HEATHER

• I Just got back from working with Tri-X in Comox Valley, BC. We had so much fun making great art! He is a very talented photographer in many ways! He just has that eye behind the camera to makes any women shine! I would highly encourage and recommend any and every model to work with him! — SHANNIN

With my nephew tying the matrimonial knot with a Texas lassie Oct. 24 in San Antonio, I'll be packing up my camera gear and will be in the heated state of Texas from Oct. 19 to 26 and would not mind collaborating with any models in that area during my trip south from beautiful British Columbia. If you are a model, and want to create some art with an award-winning Canadian photographer, you can drop me a note at my photo desk: julestassja12@shaw.ca, or on my DA site. I'm also available via text: 250-898-3484. Looking forward to hearing from you. Any photographers in the San Antonio area who want to talk shop and sip on a few cold beers (I'm told it will be good beer drinking weather when I come to Texas) you can also tag me here. Or if you know of any of your muses looking to create with a "foreign" photographer, let them know I'm going to be there. Thanks.

Reacting to my environment, 360 degrees, am always focused on that next capture. RIP Tassja after 98 years of giving joy to your canine master (in dog years) following your death on July 1, 2009 in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada.

Si así fue, así pudo ser. Si así fuera, así podría ser. Pero como no es, no es. Eso es lógica.
